Stephanie Fiedler, CPC, ACS-EM
Director, Revenue Advisory
Stephanie is a Certified Professional Coder with an advanced certification in Evaluation and Management coding and currently consults with clients on practice issues including, policies, chart reviews, audit-related issues, correct coding and managed care enrollment and transitioning. She is an expert in coding, documentation and reimbursement rules as well as revenue cycle management, practice operations and processes for skilled nursing facilities, multi-specialty medical/clinic practices and clinics providing care for developmental disabilities, mental health, substance abuse & the HIV positive, as well as other NYS Medicaid reimbursed programs under OPWDD, OMH & OASAS. Stephanie provides education and training on coding/compliance and regulatory issues to both providers and practice staff. She has worked with IAC & NYSRA, advocacy groups for the healthcare industry that support not-for-profit providers in both training and advocacy issues that impact the developmentally disabled.
She was formerly the Director of Revenue of a national not-for-profit organization for persons with developmental disabilities, a senior health care consultant for a major Healthcare Consulting and Accounting firm and the Director of Corporate Compliance, Revenue Cycle & Provider Relations for a large New York-based medical management organization for services rendered in long-term care settings across multiple states. Additionally, Stephanie spent many years of her career as a Regional Implementations Manger for a nationally known medical software practice management system.
Stephanie is an active member in the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the Interagency Counsel (IAC) as well as the Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group for NGS Medicare. She participated in the NYS Medicaid Task Force for transitioning to APG Reimbursement in NYS OPWDD clinics. She is a nationally recognized audio and conference speaker and has authored two coding and reimbursement related books for Decision Health—one of the country’s leading providers of news and solutions for healthcare organizations.
